Out of Step
I can't keep up/I can't keep up/I can't keep up. Out of step with the world. ~ Minor Threat I am a geezer. I like a bunch of the old punk, I like some of the new punk, and I like to talk about the punk I like. I am probably too old for tumblr, so kiss my ass if you can't take a joke.

Dead Kennedys, Trust Your Mechanic

Volunteered at Rush today, first time in months. The nurse spent the entire meeting chiding everyone to “listen to your doctor, he knows better.” Even when everyone was telling stories about how their doctors are mortal and simply push pills now. Two pharmaceutical sales reps where there, as well. Volunteering can be hard some days.

Dead Kennedys, Moon over Marin

I was beginning a nice quiet bender with a few White Russians and found this: Obama backtracks on smog plan, bows to big business and I am depressed as all hell. The Republicans are dismantling the E.P.A., you know. The F.D.A. is next. The older I get, the more I see a corporatocracy that doesn’t give two shits about people or their health - just their money.

Another tanker’s hit the rocks
Abandoned to spill out its guts
The sand is laced with sticky glops

There will always be a moon

US to shed light on Guatemala syphilis experiment

A U.S. presidential commission will release Monday its findings on a government research project that deliberately infected Guatemalan prison inmates and mental patients with syphilis in the 1940s.

This is not the Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment, this is another one. Just to remind you, the federal government infects its own citizens, too.
