McDonald’s confirms that it’s no longer using ‘pink slime’ chemical in hamburgers
McDonald’s announced last week that, as of last August, is has stopped using ammonium hydroxide in the production of its hamburgers. MSNBC reports that the chemical, used in fertilizers, household cleaners and even homemade explosives, was also used to prepare McDonalds’ hamburger meat.

Stevenson High School in north suburban Lincolnshire is in the midst of a drug investigation that has relied on confiscated student cell phones to identify suspects, a school spokesman said today.

My Grandma, A Quick Thought About Growing Old
I have been dealing with my grandma’s own decline for the past few months - I have posted frequently about that. But there are others on the periphery of my friends and family who are declining at a much more rapid speed, and not as nicely. I have just not spoken about them, as they are not my stories to tell. Anyway, the pressure is starting to get to the survivors. Getting old is hard on the younger folk too.
